Visiting Angels is seeking caring and compassionate people to work as caregivers for 4-hour up to 12-hour shifts. Shifts start between 7am and 10pm. Our caregivers provide one-on-one care to clients, in their homes, throughout the west metro.
The ideal candidate will be able to approach clients with empathy and encouragement. Caregivers are to provide companionship, conversation and engagement with clients.
Caregivers will perform tasks that help clients with their activities of daily living. These tasks include assisting with personal hygiene (showering, dressing, toileting) meal planning and preparation and light housekeeping. Housekeeping tasks may include laundry, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping. Caregivers may also provide help with transportation and running errands for and/or with clients.
Visiting Angels West Metro is currently hiring for all shifts (morning, afternoon, evening and overnight) Priority in hiring will be given to applicants who are available to work weekends. Starting pay will be $18-20 per hour, based on experience. Visiting Angels offers a $2 per hour incentive for weekend shifts of six hours or less.
Visiting Angels West Metro services communities including Minneapolis, St. Louis Park, Minnetonka, Wayzata, Maple Grove, Plymouth, Eden Prairie and Chanhassen.
Requirements:
High school diploma preferred.
Must be able to pass a Criminal Background study
Must obtain a TB test with a negative result
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Must have a valid driver’s license, car insurance and a reliable vehicle
Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time
