Description
Join the Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation's (DOCCR) food services team at the Adult Corrections Facility (ACF) as a Senior Food Service Worker! In this position, you will have the opportunity to expand your food services knowledge and experience and make a difference in the community by being a part of a department with a mission to promote community safety, community restoration, and reduce the risk of re-offense.

Location and hours: This position is onsite and located at the Adult Corrections Facility at 1355 Shenandoah Lane North, Plymouth, MN 55447. There is limited public transportation to this facility. The primary schedule for this position will be 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday with working occasional weekends and holiday hours. Based on current requirements hires must live in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

· Train and provide work direction to residents working in the kitchen to include food preparation, set up/serving of food, proper cleaning of cooking/eating, safe operation of kitchen appliances, and cleaning floors and kitchen surfaces.
· Receive delivery of prepared food and confirm the correct food quantity and items have been received.
· Ensure safety and food standards are met.
· Act as a lead worker of Food Service Workers, maintaining records or reports, and ensuring training is completed.
· Ability to drive and operate a loading truck in the delivery of food between facilities.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o Completion of three months of food service experience in an institutional setting dealing with special medical diets.
o Six months of general food service experience.
o Completion of 12 job related college or vocational/technical school credits.
· A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Hennepin County driver's permit.
· A ServSafe Certification or the ability to acquire certification within one year of hire.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Job offer will be contingent on passing a pre-employment physical, drug test that may include testing for cannabis, criminal background check, fingerprint check, and a driving record check.
