Description
The Office of Budget & Finance is hiring an IT Business Analyst to assist the payroll team. This position provides IT system support and conducts maintenance updates to the PeopleSoft payroll system.

Location and hours:This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at Hennepin County Government Center, 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55487 and remote as job duties require. Typically, for three specified days each week the employee is required to work in the Hennepin County Government Center. The remaining days may be worked remotely. Work hours will typically be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with some flexibility in start and end times. Wednesday of the pay week may include evening hours (the payroll team must stay until payroll runs).
While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.
About the position type:This is a full-time, benefit earning position. This position is also eligible to receive an additional cash merit of up to $1,974.82 that can be earned annually based on performance.

· Run necessary processes to produce bi-weekly payroll.
· Provide daily IT production support of the PeopleSoft system and support PeopleSoft maintenance updates to the system; review features, fix bugs, and conduct testing.
· Provide customer service support to various human resources and business lines representatives.
· Create and maintain documentation on procedures.
· Write business requirements and work with technical resources and test prior to implementation for new system solutions.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o Two or more years of technology experience.
o Two-year college/vocational technical degree in a technology field or an approved IT certificate and one or more years of technology experience.
o Completion of five or more college/vocational technology courses and one or more years of technology experience.
o Completion of approved IT Hennepin County internship and one or more years of technology experience.
o Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology field.
· The ability and willingness to work Wednesday evenings on pay-week until payroll runs.
Nice to have:
· Experience:
o With PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM).
o With payroll tax and/or accounting.
o With payroll processing and/or time and labor.
o Using Gideon Taylor eForms technology.
o Providing customer service to end-users.
· Attention to detail and knowledge of payroll processes.
· Critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze problems and troubleshoot.
