We're hiring a PeopleSoft Quality Assurance (QA) Developer to serve as a key member of the Hennepin County PeopleSoft technology team supporting the PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application system. The PeopleSoft technology team supports human resources, payroll, finance, and procurement functions. In this role, you will provide QA leadership for PeopleSoft, including expertise and assistance regarding tools and applications, design recommendations based on long-term IT and PeopleSoft organization strategy, as well as tactical guidance to the team. Location and hours:This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Hennepin County Government Center in downtown Minneapolis, 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55487 and remote as job duties require. Work hours will typically be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment. About the position type: This is a full-time, benefit earning position.This position is internally classified as an IT Developer level I. Click here to view the job classification specification.Once an employee reaches the maximum of the salary range, they may be eligible to receive an additional cash merit of up to $1877.98 that can be earned annually based on performance. In this position, you will:
· Provide PeopleSoft QA knowledge to determine standards/best practices and technical feasibility for QA processes.
· Develop, test, and document PeopleSoft applications based on QA specifications.
· Serve as a QA technical developer and participate in transforming manual actions into automated testing scripts of the PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning modules functionality.
· Analyze business functionality; assess and prioritize functionality that can be automated.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o Two years or more of IT experience.
o Completion of five college/vocational technical technology courses.
o Completion of an approved IT Hennepin County internship and one year or more of IT experience.
o Two year college/vocational technical degree in a technology field or an approved information technology certificate.
o Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology field.
Nice to have:
· Two or more years of QA experience with PeopleSoft Applications.
· Experience:
o Using PeopleSoft's PTF (Peoplesoft Testing Framework).
o Working with SQL.
o Working in object-oriented technologies.
o Creating and managing test script library, execution, and validation of PTF script success and remediate failures of the scripts.
o Operating PeopleSoft PTF security.
· Ability to analyze problems and troubleshoot.
· Ability to work in a project team environment and develop/maintain a positive partnering relationship with business and technical project team staff.
