Description
The Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) is seeking a Training Coordinator to develop, implement and track staff training programs at the Client and Community Restoration Division.
Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed on-site 4 days a week at the Client and Community Restoration Division located at 3000 North Second Street, Minneapolis, MN 55411; and remote 1 day a week as job duties require. The primary work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may require occasional evening and weekend hours to accommodate training needs. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022, to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

In this position, you will:
· Design and deliver customized electronic and classroom-based training that are aligned with Hennepin County's strategic initiatives to support customer needs; evaluate training effectiveness and providing feedback to department leadership regarding training issues.
· Collaborate with staff from the DOCCR's Train, Coach, and Practice division.
· Coordinate the Field Training Officers (FTO) program including interviewing, selecting, and training CCR FTO's; hold regular training meetings; provide feedback, encouragement, and skill development opportunities.
· Maintain and manage content on the DOCCR training website including preparing, proofreading, editing, and posting training policies and procedures.
· Maintain the learning management system including entering classes and completions, maintaining the electronic evaluation system and tracking outcomes, preparing and sending completion certificates, and maintaining records and reports for training activities and program effectiveness.
· Manage and coordinate the division's Safety and Security programs and related activities, including collaborating with the Hennepin County Environmental Health and Safety Specialist.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o 2 years of experience maintaining training materials and/or presenting trainings.
o Bachelor's degree or higher in criminal justice, behavioral science, education, business, public administration, or related field.
· Note: Work in a specialty area appropriate to the position may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
· A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Hennepin County driver's permit.
