Hennepin County's Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation is seeking a Work Readiness Volunteer to assist the work readiness preparation for justice involved residents at the Ault Correctional Facility in Plymouth, MN.Please click here to apply for this unpaid, volunteer opportunity. Location and hours:Hennepin County Adult Correctional Facility 1145 Shenandoah Lane. Plymouth, MN 55447.Every other Wednesday 2:30pm to 5:00pm. About the volunteer position type:This is an advertisement for an unpaid, volunteer position.In this volunteer position, you will:
· You will follow a curriculum that covers job readiness skills.
· You will coach on resume writing, interview techniques (mock interviews) career assessment, job applications and coaching on how to navigate the background clearance process for job applicants.
· Successfully complete Volunteer Orientation and Training.
· Be supported by a designated Adult Correctional Facility staff.
