Description
The Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) is seeking a Compliance Coordinator Records Management to work in the Office of Administrative Services.
This position will focus on managing, coordinating, and standardizing official record activities across the department. This will include updating the departments retention schedule; maintaining the departments record repository; initiating and overseeing record destruction processes both paper and electronic; and ensuring records are sealed and expunged according to court order. This position will also protect records of individuals enrolled in the state’s Safe at Home program and assist in the development of department policy and procedures as they relate to records management. This position may provide supervision to staff.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.
Location and hours:This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at various sites within Hennepin County and remote as job duties require. Work hours are Monday through Friday with flexible hours between, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. This person must have access to reliable transportation to travel to various sites within Hennepin County. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.About this position type:This is a full-time, benefit earning position.

In this position, you will:
· Update the DOCCR retention schedule and ensure DOCCR compliance related to that and other function-based Hennepin County retention schedules by proactively working with divisions on access and destruction of official records.
· Analyze court orders and other documents that require legal obligation related to records to ensure compliance.
· Advise divisions; identify and recommend action to resolve issues around records.
· Develop, implement, and administer policy, procedures, and trainings as they relate to records management to ensure integrity of official records.
· Work with data request compliance coordinator to ensure true and complete content for data collection.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o Eight or more years of experience in general administrative work relating to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a records retention specialty area.
o Bachelor's degree or higher in public administration, business administration, or other field appropriate to the position and four or more years of experience in general administrative work relating to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a records retention specialty area.
o Note: General administrative work is defined as the administration and/or management of programs, policies, and/or budgets.
