Connected & Automated Vehicles (CAV) Policy & Planning Manager | Up to $124,695/annually

This position has the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. If working a hybrid schedule, the incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor.
Our Connected & Automated Vehicles (CAV) Policy & Planning Manager position will provide leadership in policy development and planning for the CAV unit. This position will also have the following responsibilities:
· Leads the advancement of MnDOT’s strategic policy development and improves collaboration with stakeholder
· Serves as a member of the CAV leadership team
· Represents the department at state and national transportation forums related to CAV and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technologies
· Supports the statewide Interagency CAV team and Governor’s Council on CAV.
· Occasional in-state travel to meetings is required. Occasional out-of-state travel is also required to attend regional and national conferences. Some travel may be overnight.

Here are the minimum qualifications:
Two years of managerial experience, three years of professional supervisory experience or four years of advanced professional experience in planning and/or policy development that demonstrates the following:
(*NOTE: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning, Policy or a closely related field substitutes for six months of advanced professional experience)
Experience developing and implementing plans and/or policies.
Experience leading and facilitating internal and external stakeholder groups.
Experience communicating complex policy issues to a variety of audiences in different formats such as presentations, reports, and educational materials.
