Description
The Public Health Department is looking for an Administrative Manager to join our Data and Assessment Team. This position will be directly reporting to the Public Health Protection Area Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our team members who work in data, assessment, and evaluation. This dynamic team collects and analyzes data, creates and implements assessments and surveys, and develops and implements evaluations across the Public Health department and the community.
This role includes planning, organizing, leading, and supervising complex data projects. Developing, building, and maintaining relationships within the Public Health department, other Hennepin County departments and community partners, will be key in leading to successful outcomes. The most successful candidate will have a deep commitment to improving the health of our community, health and racial equity, and a track record of success in data analysis, evaluation administration, and leading internal and external community health assessments.

Location and hours:This position is hybrid and will be performed both remotely and on-site at Hennepin County buildings as job duties require. This position has a primary schedule of Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

In this position, you will:
Oversee, plan, assign, train, and direct the work of staff on the data, assessment, and evaluation team.
Supervise program staff, interns, and volunteers, providing guidance, direction, and performance evaluation as needed.
Develop and maintain key relationships internally and externally with community organizations, other jurisdictions, and community members to address community identified priorities for health and racial equity and disparity reduction.
Plan, organize, and supervise complex projects.
Coordinate with other city public health departments, hospital-based population health, Minnesota Department of Health, Hennepin County departments, and other jurisdictions to carry out community identified priorities.
Gather, analyze, and utilize qualitative and quantitative data to identify disparities and gaps.
Prepare a variety of reports and make presentations for internal and external audiences.
Manage program budgets and track expenditures; write and manage grants.
Need to have:
One of the following:
Bachelor's degree or higher in public health, social work, behavioral/social science, public administration, business administration, or other field appropriate to the position and five years or more experience related to organizational operations or programs or a specialty area appropriate to the position.
Nine years or more of experience related to organizational operations or programs or a specialty area appropriate to the position.
