Description
Join the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) Enforcement Services division in the role of a Principal Office Specialist. This position will be performed on-site located at the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office civil unit at 350 South 5th Street, suite #190, Minneapolis, MN 55415. Typical work hours will be Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Each case is considered on its individual circumstances and the type of work. In this position, you will:
· Enter and update civil process data.
· Maintain and update information stored in external and internal data systems.
· Prepare, write, and proofread specialized documents.
· Answer and respond to phone inquiries regarding civil process.
· Receive and process documents at public service counter.
· Demonstrate high ethical standards, positive attitude, effective interpersonal skills, exceptional customer service and accountability.
· Train new employees on computer programs and divisional procedures.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
· Three or more years of office clerical experience.
· 30 months or more of office clerical experience and completion of the Office Specialist Pathway Training program.
· A combination of office clerical experience and post high school education, totaling 3 years or more (3 semester credits = 1 month).
Nice to have:
· Experience supporting computerized systems such as Law Enforcement Technology Group (LETG), Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS), Civil Serve, and ECharging.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, OneDrive, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, and Adobe Acrobat DC, and/or Adobe Acrobat Pro.
· Ability to:
o Notarize documents or the ability to become a notary.
o Demonstrate high ethical standards, effective interpersonal skills, exceptional customer service, and accountability.
