The Housing Stability Data and Planning area of the Health and Human Services department is seeking to fill a Planning Analyst position with an individual who has strong customer service and communication skills, the ability to learn complex programs, and the desire to serve the community. Interested candidates will need to be able to handle a high level of demanding situations while engaging in frequent interactions with teammates and property owners.
In this position, you will:
Conduct data analysis for rent assistance funding streams, including pivot tables, heat maps, flowcharts, and graphs.
Gain expertise in RentHelp Hennepin software.
Create and utilize PowerBI and RentHelp Hennepin data dashboards.
Manage weekly payments between RentHelp Hennepin and APEX systems.
Provide weekly data for court navigators.
Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and property owners to resolve payment issues.
Manage W9 directory to ensure accuracy in property owner information.
Participate in 1 on 1, unit, and team meetings.
Assist with special projects, as assigned.
Need to have:
One of the following:
Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, public administration; research methods; statistics; behavioral/social science; public health; computer science/MIS or management science; urban/city planning, or a field appropriate to the area of specialization.
Bachelor's degree or higher in any field and a minimum of two courses in research methods, analysis, statistics, project management, planning or evaluation and one year or more of technical experience.
Nice to have:
Financial payment requests and approvals.
Creating GIS and PowerBI charts.
Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to help improve business or organizational practices.
Using RentHelpMN or a similar system.
Apply problem-solving skills and make data-informed recommendations for action.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Work independently and successfully manage multiple priorities and projects.
