We are looking for a Compliance Analyst to join Fingerhut, a market-leading FinTech whose mission is to help its customers establish, build, or rebuild their credit! This role will be based out of our Eden Prairie office which operates in a hybrid work setting.

We are seeking Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance team and support its growing businesses! Our compliance group helps educate and guide stakeholders, to help mitigate risk at Fingerhut. This team is highly skilled in the business side of compliance and focus on financial services and retail operations, regulatory compliance, risk management, and testing and training. We are open to 100% remote in certain designated states within the US.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Assist in analyzing escalated and non-escalated complaint data trends to determine compliance with governing federal/state laws and regulations
o Interface with strategic banking partners to investigate and respond to escalated complaints originating from the partners
o Review business policies and procedures for compliance with applicable laws and regulations
o Assist with operational issues management program including assessment of impacts, identification of root cause, and organizing remediation solutions and control enhancements with business units
o Conduct monthly ongoing monitoring searches on critical Tier 1A vendors for negative news, regulatory enforcement actions, CFPB complaints, and litigation filed against the vendors at the direction of the Sr. Compliance Analyst
o Escalate identified incidents arising from Bluestem’s third-party monitoring to the Vendor Incident Log to document and track the status of the remediation plan.
o Participate in other aspects of compliance reviews, including process mapping, risk and control identification, and issue identification
o Collaborate with Compliance Director and Compliance Managers on projects, analysis, and trending.
o Performing other tasks as necessary and required to advance the business of Bluestem Brands, Inc.
QUALIFICATIONS
o Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
o 1-2 years of experience in retail or financial services a plus
o Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
o High degree of comfortability with ambiguity
o Outstanding attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment with the ability to identify, assess the impact, and manage risks
o Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
o Ability to respond quickly to changing needs, timelines, and priorities of a fast-paced, results-oriented business environment
o Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work across a diverse range of functional groups
o Willingness and desire to influence cross-functional teams and work effectively with senior management
o Ability to build relationships, communicate and interact with business and/or strategic partners at various levels to achieve objectives
o Ability to analyze data, form conclusions and communicate appropriate remediation
o Capable of finding creative solutions to complex situations and identifying potential areas for business process improvement
