About the Role & Team:
Are you a proactive, self-motivated professional eager to professionalize your customer service and sales skills? Angela Herder Agency (American Family Insurance) is looking for a results-driven Insurance Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team.
We offer a supportive, collaborative environment where you can develop sales expertise and build lasting client relationships. In this customer-oriented role, you will employ effective sales methodology to educate clients on insurance products, create quotes, and grow and manage a book of business, all while building the foundational professional skills that are applicable across industries.
This position includes a hybrid work option after a 90-day probation period and requires licensing within 60 days of hire.
What You Will Do:
● Build Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their insurance needs, getting creative with tactics and networking opportunities to drive results.
● Execute Sales Methodology: employ a structured, methodological sales process that drives meaningful customer interactions. Build workflows that generate leads and proactively follow-up in order to retain business.
● Conduct Insurance Reviews: Thoroughly assess client needs and ensure they have the appropriate coverage, identifying opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell where appropriate.
● Quote Insurance: Efficiently provide quotes for all lines of business, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
● Educate the Customer: Educate clients on various insurance products and coverage options, focusing your approach on each customer’s unique needs.
● Collaborate: Work closely with team members to strategize and achieve sales targets.
● Prioritize Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting clients with policy inquiries, claims processing, and policy adjustments.
● Develop Industry Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends, products, and regulations to offer informed advice to clients.
● Maintain Operational Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of business operations to manage responsibilities effectively when key personnel are absent.
Who You Are:

● Customer-oriented, with experience in customer-facing or service-oriented roles prioritizing the needs of the customer.

Compensation & Benefits:
● $40,000 base salary + competitive commission & bonus structure
○ Commission structure includes percentage of agency take, with additional opportunities for campaign & annual bonuses.
○ Total compensation may range from $40,000-$80,000+ annually.
● Flexible hybrid work arrangement post probationary period
