Description
Hennepin County's Information Security division is seeking two Identity and Access Management Support Analysts. These positions will be responsible for the day-to-day functions within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team but will have different focuses:
· Provisioning and deprovisioning of access and permissions management.
· Identifying areas for automation and process improvements.
These positions work closely with technical and non-technical staff from internal lines of business and external business partners. Location and hours:These positions are remote. Remote workers may be required to come on-site an average of 0 to 12 days a year for work meetings, trainings, or for any other reasons that their supervisor may deem necessary (may include additional days for onboarding and new employee training). Supervisors will provide as much advance notice as practicable. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. and on call rotation is expected. At this time, employees may be eligible to receive an additional cash merit of up to $1,360.79 that can be earned annually based on performance.
In these positions, you will:
· Manage entitlements and the identity lifecycle, e.g., joiner, mover, leaver processes, in an enterprise environment.
· Perform access certifications.
· Manage access in disconnected applications.
· Assist with troubleshooting and problem analysis by working with business and technical staff.
· Follow frameworks and processes related to Role Based Access Control (RBAC) and least privilege.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o Five years or more of information technology experience.
o Two-year college/vocational/technical degree in a technology field or approved information technology certificate, and three years or more of information technology experience.
o Completion of five college/vocational/technical information technology courses, and three years or more of information technology experience.
o Completion of an approved Hennepin County IT internship and three years or more of information technology experience.
o Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology or a related information technology field and one year or more of information technology experience.
Nice to have:
· Experience:
o Providing application support and/or troubleshooting access issues with end users.
o With general access and deprovisioning methods and procedures.
o Managing identities, accounts, and permissions.
o With programs such as Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), and/or Exchange Online.
o Using automation scripting tools, such PowerShell.
o Using provisioning tools, such as SailPoint Identity Now.
o With Role-Based Access Control concepts and best practices.
· Ability to:
o Learn new tools, processes, and work methods based on business needs.
o Evaluate critical systems, prioritize workflow, and determine solutions.
o Communicate with individuals of varying technical abilities and job function.
o Perform data analysis and make recommendations based on data.
o Read and understand technical manuals.
· Knowledge of:
o Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID), Office 365, application permissions, and NTFS permissions.
o General knowledge of platforms, including Windows, desktop, and mobile.
