Description
The Information Technology (IT) department is currently seeking to fill an Office Specialist II vacancy. This data and production driven position will join the Special Projects/Backfile team. This position is responsible for converting paper files, photos, maps, microfilm, and other materials into electronic formats.

Location and hours:This position will be on-site at the Hennepin County Government Center at 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55487. Work hours will be Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with some flexibility. Based on current requirements hires must live in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.
About this position type:This position is a full-time, benefit earning position. This position is internally classified as an Office Specialist II.Click here to view the job classification specification. In this position, you will:
· Utilize Kofax Total Agility (KTA) software for scanning and indexing.
· Accurately prepare documents to scan.
· Scan files, photos, maps, and other materials and media for export to various systems of record.
· Validate and index files to meet client requirements and specifications.
· Organize, retrieve, and destroy files throughout the conversion process.
· Enter up-to-date project status information in tracking spreadsheets.
· Conduct daily cleaning/maintenance of various scanner models.
· Assist team leads and supervisor with various tasks as assigned.
· Maintain confidentiality and physical security of sensitive materials.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o 18 months or more of office clerical experience.
o 18 months of related post-high school education.
o Completion of the Office Specialist Pathway Training program and one year or more of office clerical experience.
o Note: Education may be substituted for experience on a month for month (3 semester credits = 1 month) basis.
· Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nice to have:
· Experience:
o Working with FileNet, Kofax Total Agility, and Microsoft Office Suite programs.
o Entering numerical data into a computer using a 10-key keypad.
o Scanning documents using electronic scanning equipment.
o Using imaging software and indexing documents.
o Performing records management functions.
· Ability to:
o Work independently and as part of a team.
o Manage and prioritize time.
o Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
