Description
The Strategy and Support Division (SSD) of the Land Information and Tax Services department is seeking an Innovation and Improvement Advisor with expertise in group facilitation, process improvement, leading or managing projects, and a commitment to applying diversity, equity, and inclusion practices to projects and initiatives.
The Strategy and Support Division provides critical infrastructure and innovation support to departments throughout the Resident Services Line of Business. In this role, you will work collaboratively to support the divisions and departments in the Resident Services line of business in a variety of activities including group facilitation, project management, strategic planning, process improvement, change management and other efforts that support customer needs. This position reports to the SSD Strategy and Change supervisor.

Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Hennepin County Government Center at 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55487, and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30p.m., with flexibility. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

In this position, you will:
· Work collaboratively with a team to support department goals and objectives through facilitation, project management, process innovation and improvement, strategic planning, change management, disparity reduction, and other customer needs.
· Support projects that analyze current processes and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
· Create project documentation and deliverables related to these efforts.
· Support the development and implementation of change management best practices that drive successful adoption of new processes and initiatives.
· Offer support to team members and customers on other projects and initiatives as needed. This may include administrative support of operational efforts.
· Apply diversity, equity, and inclusion practices to reduce racial and other disparities.
Need to have:
· One of the following:
o Six or more years of experience in general administrative work relating to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position.
§ Note: General administrative work is defined as the administration and/or management of programs, policies, and/or budgets.
o Bachelor's degree or higher in public administration, business administration, or other field appropriate to the position and two or more years of experience in general administrative work relating to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position.
