Description
The Information Technology (IT) department is seeking a Principal Office Specialist to join its Government Center team. This position will perform work involving the application of technical expertise and independent judgment to non-routine issues with limited supervision.
Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at Hennepin County Government Center at 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with flexibility. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
Training for this position will be held in-person.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022, to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

· Manage the daily validation workflow and inform staff of approaching or overdue Service Level Agreements (SLA).
· Manage all completed batch inventory and file them according to date and time.
· Act as the lead worker on site at the Government Center and direct the work of the staff assigned.
· Train new staff on all imaging operations procedures and workflows.
· Conduct quality checks and provide feedback for OSII's in office daily work.
· Provide input to the supervisors of staff to assist in performance review feedback.
· Process all ECF requests in the Imaging ECF work items folder.
· Process assigned specialized workflow documents/batches.
· Process daily checks received for different lines of business.
Need to have:
One of the following:
· Three years or more of office clerical experience.
· 30 months or more of office clerical experience and completion of the Office Specialist Pathway Training program.
An approved combination of post high school education and office clerical experience to equal at least two years.
Nice to have:
· Experience:
o Leading or directing day-to-day tasks of staff.
o Using Microsoft Office, ECF, MAXIS, MMIS and METS.
o Creating and using complex Excel spreadsheets to track file inventory and report progress and/or production.
o Utilizing Microsoft Teams effectively for remote training and communication with team members.
o Utilizing various document scanners and scanner profiles.
o Create and maintaining records.
· Knowledge of database management system (DBS).
· Ability to:
o Stand for long periods of time.
o Lift and stack up to 40 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
