Description
Hennepin Health, a nationally recognized health maintenance organization, is seeking a Provider Communication Specialist to join the Network Management team to support network management initiatives associated with Hennepin Health's product lines. This position will be responsible for creating communications for the provider stakeholders including Provider Bulletins, the Provider Survey, Provider Manual, and the website. The position is also responsible for documenting department processes using project management, editorial and technical coordination skills.
Effective January 1, 2023, there will be a general salary adjustment of 2.5% to the minimum and maximum of the range.

Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Hennepin County Public Health building, 525 Portland Avenue in downtown Minneapolis, which is accessible by public transportation and light rail, and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
New employees who are hired into remote or hybrid positions between January 2, 2022 to December 31, 2024, will receive $500 toward the cost of establishing consistent internet connectivity, payable upon completion of 6 months of employment.

In this position, you will:
Work with Hennepin Health key stakeholders to develop a communication plan that includes:
Provider bulletins designed to inform, notify, and educate.
Strategies for the delivery and outreach of educational materials to the provider community.
Conduct an annual provider satisfaction survey including performing a summary analysis and the distribution of the results within the health plan.
Manage the Hennepin Health Provider Manual.
Participate in the management of content for the provider website.
Conduct ongoing Access and Availability review of Hennepin Health provider networks to ensure members have adequate access to care.
Maintain email database. Implement initiatives to increase/enhance providers enrolled in the database.
Document department procedures and workflows associated with the provider contracting process.
Need to have: One of the following:
Bachelor's degree or higher in communications, business administration, health care administration, public administration, or a field appropriate to the position and four years or more of healthcare related business to business (B2B) and/or insurance communications experience working with health plans.
Eight years or more of healthcare related business to business (B2B) and/or insurance communications experience working with health plans.
Nice to have:
Experience:
Working for a health maintenance organization or in a managed care or other health insurance related setting.
Creating insurance communications or other documentation that is outward facing from your organization.
With content creation, writing/copywriting and conducting surveys.
In project management.
Five or more years of communications/marketing experience.
Exceptional interpersonal and consensus building skills.
A collaborative approach to problem solving and strong decision-making skills.
An ability to adapt and be flexible in role development.
