We are seeking to hire an experienced Residential Real Estate Manager to lead our mortgage team. The qualified candidate will originate investor quality first mortgages saleable in the secondary market, and the development of quality portfolios of first mortgage products. The incumbent will offer purchase, refinance, cash-out, construction, and home equity (loans/lines) products to prospective borrowers based on the client's needs and meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction.
The responsibilities include:
Professionally develops and maintains external and internal referral sources.
Actively participates in internal referral programs. Develops positive working relationships with commercial, retail and investment areas in order to build strong customer relationships.
Participates in various community and business organizations and events.
Works with Marketing Director to develop and utilize successful marketing strategies.
Solicits new loan business from new and existing customers and referral sources.
Originates investor quality first mortgage loans in a manner that meets annual fee income budget while meeting reasonable pricing guidelines established by the Chief Credit Officer.
Originates first mortgage portfolio loans in a manner that meets annual fee income budget while meeting Loan Policy guidelines.
Participates in and closes loans with various local and government agencies.
Acts as a lead for mortgage lending employees. Provides training, product knowledge, and sales and marketing guidance.
Actively participates in department meetings, including Retail Sales, Retail Credit, Retail L10, and Management Council
Manage Residential RE staff including coaching, counseling, evaluating performance, and salary administration of all direct reports, as well as overseeing the responsibilities of each of the direct reports.
Provide performance management counseling, as required.
Support the individual development plans and career goals of bank staff.
Maintain a high profile in the community through active participation in community organizations to enhance the image of the bank.
Make group sales presentations as assigned and assist in staffing bank display at various trade shows.
Perform other duties as requested by Senior Vice President-Retail Banking.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five years mortgage banking experience preferred and three to five years previous experience with Ellie Mae/Encompass. NMLS License required, or ability to obtain.
